Medicaid

Medicaid is healthcare program set up to help low-income households or individuals and people with disabilities. Funding for Medicaid is through a combination of state and federal dollars and it is run by both state and federal governments (unlike Medicare, which is federally funded). This means Medicaid programs often vary significantly between different states.
